A Feather Stronger Than a Thousand Shackles

Tucked under the wing of The Eagle
Is where I found my key
Light weight and as gentle as love,
It’s the thing that saved me

From the shackles sprouting from below ground.
Taking me up to the tops of trees
Into mid air flight, on my new wings
I have been found and on my way I’ll be found.

My feathers clap and blow in the breeze,
Exalting, moving against the currents
I’m flying now with unburdened ease.
To soar and fly and glide I have learnt.
